Not all Who Wander are Lost

Jayda panted, the fighting had worn her out. She took a deep breath and let it out in a long sigh. Aside from her fatigue, she was pretty much unharmed. She looked to Togema when he asked for an injury report.

“Only minor scrapes and scratches from me… and Rajnish is fine.”

“Perfect, actually,” Rajnish replied. He was talking so that everyone could hear him.

Jayda rolled her eyes, “We got lucky and only ran into one of them.”

Rajnish looked back to Togema without moving his head, and spoke only to him, “I’ll remember it.”

Jayda frowned and looked at the people around her, “I don’t think Rajnish can carry more than just one other person… who’s in the best shape to walk?”

Mysterious had draw her view forward again so the others could not see her any longer. Her body was filled with pain, but she had had much worse before. Her should had taken the most of it.

"I will live" Was all Mysterious had to offer in the way of describing her injuries.

Her muscles flinching as she attempted to pull her wing back against her body. It was painful and she wanted to cry out but she never liked to show just how wounded she was. It was a stupid thing to do considering her enemies would no doubt return now.

Managing to tuck her wing back under her cloak it didn't help the pain much, but then again it didn't really matter as she turned to them.
"I can walk don't worry lets just head back before it gets to late." Mysterious suggested the blood making her black cloak look wet nearly the whole way down her body now.

[Togema]

Togema's back was now drenched in cold blood. He wasn't sure if he'd stopped bleeding yet or not, but it seemed so. It wasn't warm anymore. "Alright," Togema agreed with Mysterious. "If everyone's fine on their own, lets get moving."

With that said, Togema began walking, leading the small party back to the outpost. Some of the sentries were pretty quick to move into them, rushing and looking ready to attack. Spotting Togema, they ran first to him. "What happ-" they began before Togema interrupted them.

"I need a room or two open in the inn, and some medics or healers immediately," he commanded. "We have some seriously injured people that need immediate care." Togema winced as he raised his arm and pointed to two of the three guards that had arrived. "You two, take care of that now. Ra'awen," Togema addressed the remaining one by name, "Help her get to a medic," he gestured to Mysterious. He knew her wound was worse and more painful than she told.

Ra'awen nodded and moved to Mysterious, noticing the blood around her shoulder and her soaked cloak. Ra'awen was a larger man, built large with muscle and natural height. A human man with a thick beard and rough eyes, he wasn't a calming sight. He moved to her uninjured side and told Mysterious, "Put your arm over my shoulder."

“O… kay…” Jayda replied when Togema started walking off, “Guess you’re only carrying this guy here.”

Jayda walked ahead of Rajnish as the unicorn walked in a way to keep Dustyn from falling off his back.

When the sentries showed up, Jayda watched as Togema gave out orders. She called out to one of them when she had the chance and he approached cautiously, looking up to Rajnish with nervous eyes.

“We’re fine, we need to get this guy to a room. He’s unconscious and hasn’t woken up in a while.”

The sentry nodded, “Follow me.” He started to walk towards the inn.

“Come on, we need to get this guy off my back, I won’t fit through that door and I can’t heal if I can’t get in the building.”

“You’re actually going to bother?” Jayda asked, she spoke quietly so that only Rajnish, and the man on his back, could really hear her.

“Why not? Had I been in trouble I believe these people would have done their best to protect me.”

Jayda smiled, “You’re getting soft, Rajnish.” He just snorted in response, which made her chuckle.

They stood out the inn for some time while the sentry leading them checked to see if there was a free room. Once that was taken care of he came back out. Jayda explained she’d need help carrying Dustyn up to the room due to the fact Rajnish was way too big for the building and the sentry nodded, approaching the unicorn cautiously.

“Come now I don’t bite,” Rajnish said to the man obviously annoyed.

The man jumped, “Y..yes! Alright.”

After some struggling the two managed to get Dustyn off Rajnish’s back and carry him up to a room.

“I’m gonna stay here with him, I want you to go tell Rajnish… the unicorn… where the others are,” Jayda said to the sentry, who nodded and did as she asked.

She looked to Dustyn and frowned, hoping he’d wake up soon.

Mysterious always did have a winning personality and it was showing more now that she was in pain. Glancing at the man as he spoke she just gave her cold stare like always.

Turning her head swiftly from him as her wing could no longer be held in place. The mass of feathers falling onto the ground at her side causing Mysterious to flinch slightly. Still she went about walking away from the man and speaking in a mono toned voice.

"I don't need your assistants just show me the way." It was clear she was not happy with people knowing how injured she was. Let alone going to see anyone about it.

Generally knowing the way she started off by herself her wing dragging behind her leaving a small blood trail. Her wounds had just been refusing to start healing at all.

[Togema]

It was only a few seconds before Togema ended up in the room with Jayda and Dustyn. "Thank you for getting him up here," Togema said once he was in the room. A female medic came in shortly after, carrying a small brown bag. She set the bag down and began looking over Dustyn's uncncious body.

A sudden realization washed over Togema and he stopped where he was. "I- I left it there," he gasped, eyes a bit wide with fright. "I'll be back," he said, rushing out of the room.

Ra'awen shook his head, not really caring a bit that Mysterious didn't want his help. "Suit yerself," he said, turning and walking away. She wasn't his problem, despite Togema's orders.

Rajnish had finished his transformation and was waiting for word on where the others had gone when he noticed Mysterious approaching. She was alone, and still wounded. Looks like he didn’t need to find anyone after all. He turned on his heel and walked up to her.

As he got closer he noticed her wing and frowned. He stopped before her to address her, “Hey… do you want help?”

It was probably the only thing he’d said in a long time that wasn’t full of angry undertones. There was general compassion in his voice. His race was beginning to show.

Jayda looked to Togema and smiled, “Eh, don’t worry about it. Rajnish makes good transportation… but don’t tell him I said that.”

She stood when the medic came in. Now that she was here, she wasn’t sure what to do with herself. She looked to back to Togema right as he said he’d be back. She frowned, there was no way he was going back out there, not if she was in good enough condition to go with him.

She followed him out the door and caught him by the arm, “You aren’t going back out there. At least not alone, I’ll go with you.”

Mysterious just shrugged it off when Ra'awen left her. If she was alone it was always for the better. Only taking a few steps as she gasped. The pain with her wing just hanging there was getting to be too much.

When Rajnish spoke it shocked her causing Mysterious to glance back. A rude reply was about to fall from her mouth when she stopped for a moment.

"Actually, I could." She said glancing to her side. "This will be easier to do down by that river." She said stumbling a little as she headed off in the direction Togema had taken them to bath. Not really looking back to see if Rajnish was following or not. If he was it would be a good thing if not she could manage though it might be slightly more painful.

[Togema]

Togema continued walking, not really looking back when Jayda spoke to him. His back still burned with the pain of his wound, still untreated. His back, facing Jayda as he walked away, was still drenched in crusting blood. Some of his skin and clothing still remained cover in the soot and ashes from his fallen foes.

"If you have to come, be careful," Togema said, rushing out of the building and back into the woods. He was breathing rather heavily as he walked. He seemed to know exaclty where to go, weaving through the trees at a brisk pace. He stopped at once and knelt to grab his blade from the scorched earth beneath it. Holding it, he looked at it and sighed. "I almost forgot this here," He said quietly.

Rajnish nodded, “Whatever you think works.”

He followed her. Honestly he wasn’t sure exactly how his healing would affect her, due to her race, but he figured at least trying wouldn’t hurt.

When they arrived at the river he looked to Mysterious, “Alright, how do you want to do this?”

Jayda frowned, looking at Togema’s back as she followed him. The wound was much worst than she knew. Rajnish would have to look at it when they got back. His weaving was no problem for the half-elf and she kept up with ease. If there was any place she could move through without a problem, it was the forest… even if she did have a tendency to get lost a lot.

She peered at him when he stopped and picked something up off the forest floor, “What do you have there?”
