It was hard to tell just what time of day it was. With the dense foliage of the trees blocking out most of the sun, but by good guess it was nearly night fall. The cooling air present among the usual muggy feeling that seemed to linger in the day.
The night was something Mysterious could always tell was coming. It was the time of the day she got the least amount of rest. Since her pursers could only follow at night she might as well have been a nocturnal creature. Having to move faster during the twilight hours. Still it seemed to matter little in this forest having been lost for days on end. Not something she really mind. there was never any direction to her wanderings.
Still she had been following the scent of humans for a long while. the sounds of a village were getting louder as well but still a ways off since her earing was so keen.
By the time the sun had completely set she had guessed the village she had been sensing would be in sight. In this place it was almost as if you had to reply on your senses. Even though the feeling coming off the village was not a completely pleasant one, Mysterious had been in the company of worse. A few more wouldn't hurt her. Beside if it was the place she had imagined it would be. then this small village could prove to be a safe haven for awhile. Among the lesser of people the she smelt from this still far distance by human standards.

Togema had feared not the forest nor its inhabitants. Rumors in WingSpire spoke of a criminal refuge in the Ilrion Forest. How interesting, Togema had thought, and prompty set out to find the place. And it was easy to find, he'd found his residence here many months ago, and stayed. He earned a living now protecting this villiage from the state and the law of WingSpire and Kelacia. It was his duty to patrol the border of the villiage, and today was just another eventless day. It was getting late and Togema noticed the first sign of life all day outside the village. People running by or trying to come in was something that was rare, but that he had dealt with before. Togema was quick to move to the source of the sound of movement, but was surprised with what he found. "Halt, creature!" Togema called out as soon as the woman was in sight. Togema was a bit of a welcome sight, even if his tone wasn't. Soft, darkly tanned skin and silver hair wrapped themselves around beautiful and soft masculine features. Lightly clothed in pastel colors, this muscular figure with effeminate beauty did not seem to be a threat. "What is your business here?"

Mysterious had frozen when she heard the voice in that tone. Her hand moving instinctively to her dagger. The movement swift and hidden well under her long black cloak in the falling twilight. Stopping any attacking motion from herself as her deep red eyes fell upon the man.
Her half crouch stance relaxing slightly as she looked him over. Mentally kicking herself for not being more aware of him and not being more silent herself.
The short hair placed back in a tie moved with her head as she looked pass him to the village. Mysterious having made it quicker then she had thought, looked back to the man that had addressed her. Wondering on how she should answer. A vampire would answer with a deadly charm. Giving off the pure intention of harming them. That was more her style, but she wasn't trying to get kicked out of the town nor start a strange amount of murders from people that had crossed her. That would be much unneeded attention.
Finally speaking to him she was being as nice as was possible for her. "Creature? Do you not know the figure of a person when you see one?" She asked before even answering his question.
"I am just a lost wander looking for refugee from the forest for a night or two.... Is that acceptable?" Her words on the borderline of being smart and snotty but holding back just enough for someone to take them friendly.

"The eye is the most easily decieved of the senses," Togema answered before drawing a breath of thought into his example. "The ear is next to follow." Togema wasn't a pushy kind of person, nor was he the type to be unecessarily rude. He was just doing his job. He brushed a bit of his silver hair that fell before his eyes away to show his black eyes to the woman that distance away. He spoke as he began to close that distance with slow, graceful steps through the foliage. "Wanderer?" he questioned, "Searching for refuge? None wander through this forest alone." he paused, knowing his statement would hint to her his suspition. "I guard the border of this refugee camp, and will allow you to pass under supervision." He was only feet away, and his voice quieted accordingly. At this level, the youth and boyishness could be heard in his words. "If you wish to enter, do so at your own risk. Follow me," he offered.

Mysterious raised an eye brow to his suspicions. It was often odd to find a wanderer roaming about a lone. Yet even more so for it to be a woman. It was not the first time she had come across that accusation.
"I think I can accept those terms." Said with a simple nod. Not much caring for how close he was coming to her. the light nod causing a few strains of black hair to shake lose across her eyes as he offered to lead the way.
Her movements silent, more so then before, as she moved to follow him. Giving a light sinister smirk at his comment.
"Don't worry... I think I can manage." She nearly laughed to herself about his warning.

Togema lead her silently to the edge of the villiage. The buldings were crude, built of wood, leaf, and clay. None were labeled, and they were set up in a large circle with a few buildings strewn through the center. Set on a dirt ground with thin patches of grass here and there, the inhabitants were dressed much better than their domiciles. The largest building, built entirely of wood, lay on the edge of the town not far from where they entered. They were both watched by almost half of the population of this tiny village before Togema walked her to the door. "This is where you will stay unless you decide you'd like a permanent residence here..." Togema stopped, curious now about who this newcomer was. "Who are you...?" he asked suddenly, voice seeming more capable of emotion. "Really? Who...?"

Mysterious could feel the eyes of the villagers. Usually it would make her uncomfortable but among her travels she had gotten looks many times. Growing slightly used to curious eyes as they watched her.
Staying true to following him Mysterious looked at the door wondering just what the building was. An Inn, Tavern, or maybe just an empty house?
"I do not believe I would be welcomed here permanently." She commented about his instructions about the living conditions. "Is this where all your guests stay?" Not really thinking many guests would come to such a place. the question was more for her to find out what might lay behind the door.
Her view not moving from the building in font of her as he so plainly asked who she was. "Which answer would you like to that.... A lie, the truth, short version, long version, or just simply my name?" She asked making the mystery about her all the more thick.

Jayda had arrived at Etheric a few days prior. She spent very little time in the port city, mostly due to the annoyance being around those people caused. So she was a half-elf what was the big deal? That wasn’t counting Rajnish’s severe dislike of cities. So the two of them left, going into the forest.
Where Jayda got them promptly lost.
It was probably their third day in the Etheric lands when they finally spotted a settlement. She was getting tired of Rajnish’s complaints and started to head towards the settlement.
They got as far as the eyesight of a sentry when things started to get bad. Apparently these people hadn’t seen a half-elf before either, and definitely hadn’t seen a unicorn. This sparked many a question, which were answered with quick, impatient answers.
Which Rajnish made much more difficult by chiming in himself.
Long story short, they were now stuck outside the village with several guards and more on the way.
Jayda sighed, “Just great… not even here a week and we’re already gonna get ourselves killed…”
“What’s this we you speak of. Things start looking bad and I’m gone,” Rajnish replied, glancing up to the woman on his back.
“Gee… thanks,” she replied.

"This is-" Togema began, only to be interrupted by a commotion on the edge of the town. "Wait here, I'll be back in a few minutes, I have to see what's going on down there." Togema was on the scene pretty quickly. Things weren't frantic, so he quickly took control of what he could. "Back off!" he yelled upon arrival. "What the hell is going on? Someone tell-" he sighed, seeing the unicorn. "What is that doing here?" He addressed the apparent friend of the creature, "Get that out my sight. I don't want that liability here."

Rajnish snapped his head forward to stare down Togema, “Excuse me?”
The unicorn started advancing forward. Jayda raised her hands to try and show that she wasn’t controlling him and gave Togema a look of, Sorry I can’t do anything!
“I’ll have you know that not only do I have a name, that I am in no way a liability!” Rajnish snorted, stopping before Togema and lowering his head so his eyes were level with Togema’s. He had made sure that everyone heard his outburst. He wanted him to know that he was intelligent and that he could chew them out just as easily as the woman on his back could.
Jayda just looked at Togema and shrugged, crossing her arms and waiting for the conflict to end.
