"A little rain will only make reaching the inn that much more desirable, no?" he said, trying to put a positive spin on things, "Besides, there's nothing wrong with the rain..."
He held his hand out palm up, catching a few raindrops and fidgeting with the miniature puddle in his hand for a while before the water was completely absorbed into his skin within seconds. If he recalled correctly, the town was only a short walk from this lake. Soon enough they would see farms if they were heading in the right direction.
Sirion reached into his pack that he carried his armor and weapon in, as well as some other items, and pulled out his cloak. It was pitch black, long, flowing, and sporting a somewhat large hood. It was his favorite. He handed it to Ski as they walked.
"Here. You'll need this more than I, if you're wanting to stay warm and dry," he said.

Ski smiled warmly to Sirion as he offered her his cloak. Taking it she thanked him. Even though running through the fresh rain would be nice in her condition and weak state it was a good idea to stay as warm and dry as possible at this point. Pulling the cloak around her shoulders and bring the hood over her head it was much bigger on her then it would be on him.
Ski just laughed alittle at the way it looked on her. No doubt she could only guess she looked out of place with it on. Completely over sized for her but it was nice and warm and she welcomed the feeling now.
"It is very nice thank you Sirion. It reminds of the rob my father once gave to me. It was just a low level wizard's rob but it was still so beautiful. It was made of very fine cloth and it was soft purple, and very warm as well. Sometimes to much so when I would be working with my magic teachers. " She said drawing a good memory from her pass.
"He never really gave me much, well I have never really gotten much either. That has never bothered me even though my family is so rich. What did bother me was the day he took it back. When he found out my magical abilities were all flawed. That rob is in pieces now." She said sadly looking down a little. Ski couldn't really tell what she was feeling at the moment. Depression, sadness, hurt, there were so many emotions but whatever it was it was not a pleasant one that was for sure.

"Well..." Sirion started, unsure of what to say. This was a situation he couldn't relate to at all, there was no possible way for him to be empathetic towards her at the moment, and he didn't want to say anything out of fear of making things worse. He looked down, hoping she could understand his situation she put him in now. He didn't want to dig deeper into this part of her past.
"All I can truly say to comfort you right now is that I'm sorry, Ski. I'm sorry you didn't get what should have been yours. Other than that, no words come to mind that I can use..." he said, looking back at her, "Sorry I can't be more of comfort to you."
A stone tower peeked over the horizon, as if watching them as they approached. The town was just up ahead, it seemed.

Ski just glanced up at him from the shadows of the hood.
"It is alright Sirion... I know you mean well." She said with a light smile not looking for any comfort she was not used to being comforted at all. So his lack of being able to really didn't seem to bother her at all.
Her view directed toward the tower as it came into sight. It was so nice to know the town was so close. Just that much closer to some new clothes and comfortable bed if the inn's were not to full that was.

"Well, at least we're here. That should be comfort enough.." he said as they walked. After a short walk they arrived to a small people-filled village with many buildings and many people. It seemed the watchtower they saw was their only form of a town guard. Sirion hoped it worked. They walked into the town with ease, then Sirion turned to Ski.
"So, what did you want to get done first?" he asked, unsure.

Ski smiled at the thought of being in town again. The more people the easier it was to disappear in the world. This was where her skills worked the best. Looking back to Sirion she thought for a moment. Getting out of the storm was ideal but then again it would do little good if they didn't have a change of clothing.
"Perhaspe we should get some new clothing then see if there is any room in the local inn. I could really use a hot meal." She said thinking about it all and getting her wound slightly more cleaned even though it was healing very well at this point.

"Hm... Tell you what. I'll get your clothing and such and get us a room, but you should probably see if there's anything more the town healers can do for your wound. After that's all over and done with, we'll figure out what comes next. Alright?" he asked.
He looked around as he talked, trying to find some means of recognizing the town for sure. The rain came down harder and the thunder and lightning came more frequently now. People were disappearing from the streets slowly.

Ski nodded only agreeing with him a this point. It would be very wise to get it checked.
"Alright then I will go, meet you at the Inn?" She asked looking at him before she wandering off into the streets. Looking for the sign that would lead her to the healers.

"Yeah. Right over there, actually," he said, pointing to a rather large lit-up building, two stories and bustling with activity, "Unless you can find a place you like better. Speaking of, any personal preference for food? I'm sure clothing will come with a room, I hear many towns like this do that..." he said.
He moved a bit of wet hair from out of his eyes, ready to go when she was.

"Something warm and good, I am not picky." she said glancing at the building before looking back at Sirion.
"Alright so I will meet you there, I will go see if I can get the local healer to check out this wound. I am sure it is fine though it feels better already. That is if you trust me to wander around alone?" She asked knowing what danger they were still in though it would be awhile before this whole ordeal started.
