"... You know I couldn't be mad at you... I just didn't want you to put yourself in danger by coming here. That's all. If you got caught off guard by that one vampire, who knows what'll happen further in..." Sirion held his head with his hands, not able to think of a solution for this situation. Ski couldn't go through the rest of the fort with him, but she couldn't go back either... He was lost, for the first time since he could remember.
"You've put me in a very awkward situation, you know... Those men, they didn't see you did they? No, or else they would have followed you... hm..." Sirion looked ahead. There wasn't much fort left. Or so he hoped. For the sake of these men's lives, there better not have been.
"Men! You must press on yourselves, there aren't many left! I know you can do it, the lives of the villagers depend on you! Do make myself clear?" he shouted.
The two remaining men turned and nodded.
"I am confident in their abilities, Ski... I believe it would be safe for us to leave now, if you want," he said to her.

Ski didn't want to make the situation worse. she could press on but it was clear Sirion wanted to get her away from here.
"If you are sure Sirion." she said glancing behind him for a second to see a vampire coming from the small doorway the other one had that had caught her by surprise. Ski pressed up against him embracing him with her one hand while her other reached behind him as she pulled him from the vampire's swip. Her hand emitting a powerful blast that engulfed the creature behind them. A spell that actually went right still it was too much for her and Ski's body went weak and limp even though she didn't pass out.

No matter how many times he saw it, magic still amazed him. Unfortunately, now those men would be able to track her down.
Sirion put one arm under her knees, the other under her shoulders, and started to carry her out.
"I know you probably didn't mean to do that, but... Now we for sure have to leave, you realize," he said as he carried her out, "I'm glad that one didn't almost kill you like last time, though."

Ski nuzzled her face into his chest. She had messed up again no matter what she did she always messed it up.
"I'm sorry" she partly cried as he carried her. Not really able to move her body but if she could she would have taken off on her own. "I just keep messing up... I'm sorry" she yelled again so annoyed at herself. If it wasn't one thing it was another. Her situation jsut seemed to keep getting worse and worse.

"Don't be. Things happen sometimes. Things that are beyond our control," he said, holding her to him more tightly, "And to tell you the truth, I don't care how badly you mess up. We're done here, and you're alive, and that's all that matters to me. Once we get out, I'll take you to the nearest town that isn't here, and we can be safe again, okay?"
He made sure his tone was calm and caring. He didn't want to upset her. She was already upset with herself, and that was too much.
"Now, please stop crying. I hate seeing you cry, and you're much more beautiful when you're happy. So please, don't cry, and don't get mad at yourself. For me. Okay?"

Ski could feel him embrace her tighter and she sniffled slightly before looking up at him. her cheeks stained with tears and her eyes red from crying.
"Lier... I am mess and have been ever since you have met me. I can't be that beautiful." she said back to him never having thought she was any kind of beauty at all. But at least she had stopped crying. Nodding to him that she would stop and be content. being safe was all the mattered now. no doubt those men were uspet to find the house empty let alone for her magic to spark up again.

"You know me, Ski. I don't lie to loved ones. And maybe it's true you've been a bit of a mess, but still, there's two things you should consider. For one, beauty is in the eyes of the beholder, and second, the word beauty is misused more often than not. While it's true that there's something I like about your looks, beauty is more than just physical beauty. There are so many other things to it than just that. What I'm saying is, it doesn't matter how you look. You'll always be beautiful in my eyes," he stated, hoping she would believe him this time.
They exited the fort right after, and Sirion could already see the two men heading their way. So, he turned and headed in the opposite direction, hoping for the best..

Sirion always seemed to over explain things she never really understand why. Was because of her or was he always that way? Ski couldn't be certaint. Still she didn't know how to respond to his comment it made her blush as she burried her head shily back into his chest.
Glancing about again only to catch the two men as they seemed to be heading toward the fort. Now that her magic had been used they would spend all the time searching it. Giving them enough time to get a good lead for the time being. Clenching Sirion tightly as he rushed off in the other direction knowing he must be tired as well from the battle and now carring her.

Sirion watched her after she blushed, and smiled. He then looked forward towards the open plains, hoping they would reach an actual destination.
He carried her for hours. He didn't know if she could walk yet, but then, he didn't care. He didn't mind. And he wouldn't let himself get tired.
"I think it might be best to take a break here," Sirion said, stopping, "I doubt those men will find us, now. Would you mind if I set you down?"

Ski had been falling in and out of sleep as they walked. When Sirion suggested they stop she could only agree.
"Yes, you need to rest anyways." she said to him knowing he must be tired now. Allowing him to set her down where he pleased she was sure she would be able to continue on foot from here. The spell wasn't too strong.
"I am sure I will be able to walk from here... I think there is a small city just half a days walk from here. But we might have to camp for the night." she said knowing they had nothing with them.
