"That's fine by me," Sirion stated. He had learned basic survival skills long ago, so he was fine.
"... How are you holding up?"

Ski smiled at him warmly wanting to strech now as she stood on her own. Flexing a little to strech out her body as she looked around. it was so pretty here in the plains. Such a nice place to be as she looked at it.
"I am ok." Looking at it as the wind sweapt across the land she had a thought.
"Hey Sirion, if you ever had a family what do you think they would be like?" she asked him just curious right at the moment. They knew a lot about each other but not that much.

"I had a family. They were nice enough. We lived in the mountains until I was forced to come here. Why do you ask?" he asked, hoping to change the subject.
He looked out at the plains, admiring the view as well.

"Why did you leave them?" she asked wondering just in general. "Why don't you go back to them? were you married? do you have any kids?" she asked randomly just putting the questions out there one after another.
"I was just wondering is all."

He sighed. This was a topic he absolutely loathed discussing with anyone. But then, it was only fair to share his background, as she shared hers.
"My village was... Destroyed. I can't go back to them because of that. I had no time for commitments like marriage, my job took up all my time as it was. And no, I don't have any kids, and I'm glad I didn't at the time. Now, is that all?" he asked, just a bit annoyed, thinking about past memories. He closed his eyes, as a mental image appeared. The smoke rising from the village as he returned from scouting. The corpses littering the streets. It was a massacre, and there was nothing he could do to prevent it... And he couldn't avenge them. He still didn't know who did it, and he hadn't a clue on where to look. It was sad to him, but that was in the past, and Sirion knew he had to focus on now.

Ski felt guilty for bring up such a painful thing for him. He was being so nice to her and she was just tossing out random questions. Moving to sit beside him she cuddled close to his side again. Laying her head on his chest as her hand rested near his shoulder.
"I didn't mean to bring up such bad memories... We both have lost families, maybe we can be each other's family now." She said just randomly thinking aloud.

"... That's fine by me, I suppose..." he said quietly. He didn't know quite what she was suggesting this time, but he would go along with it. He wrapped his arm that faced her around her neck, resting his hand on her other shoulder. He found it somewhat amusing, the difference between the her from the village and how she was now. He smiled, laying his head on top of her head. He couldn't think of anymore words to say, so for now, he would just enjoy the moment, and try to forget...

Smiling at his response she wasn't very sure just what she meant either. Just that for the first time in her life there was someone there. So keen on protecting her and being something she had never had before. Letting out a soft sigh as she felt Sirion's arm around her Ski closed her eyes completely relaxed. Her body still so very tired it was no wonder she found sleep so easy sitting there with him. Not even thinking about him having to carry her yet again.

Sirion noticed as she fell asleep, then looked up to the sky. Night always came so quickly here. He sighed. He didn't think his armor could be that comfortable, yet she seemed fine with it. He'd take it off when he next got the chance. He looked up at the stars, thinking for pretty much the rest of the night...

Ski was so fast asleep but that didn't stop her dreaming so intensely. Despite her weak condition her dreams were still so powerful. Tossing and stirring lightly from time to time. Speaking lowly a few names which were never really complete or easy to understand.
It was a few hours after the sun had completely set that she stirred again looking up at the sky for a second nearly forgetting everything that had happned the last few days. Glancing at Sirion she felt slightly guitly she hadn't meant to fall asleep like this.
"Sorry, I didn't mean to make you uncomfortable.... You could have waken me." She said softly to him.
